Go to Market: E-Commerce
Back in 2022, entering the e-commerce arena was a new venture for me.
Launching The Purple Chicken‘s Mango Habanero Sauce, I was determined to make a mark in the hot sauce industry.
Here’s how I did it:
-Unique Selling Proposition → Our sauce isn’t just another hot sauce. It’s a blend of real habaneros, honey, and mango puree, creating a flavor that’s truly one of a kind.
-Authenticity Speaks → As a small batch, family-owned, and veteran-owned brand, we connected with Middle America’s desire for authentic, handcrafted gourmet sauces – minus the hefty price tag.
-Strategic Marketing Moves → To cut through the noise, I adopted a multi-pronged marketing strategy:
1️⃣ Community-Led Growth: Utilized our food truck’s loyal customer base for an initial sales surge, supported by our friends and family’s enthusiastic endorsements.
2️⃣ Content-Led Growth: Leveraged influencers to introduce our Mango Habanero Sauce to a broader audience.
3️⃣ Product-Led Growth: Encouraged our customers to share their love for the sauce on social media, boosting our brand through authentic voices.
4️⃣ Sales-Led Growth: We harnessed the power of Amazon ads, along with precision-targeted social media and Google ads, to place our Mango Habanero Sauce right in front of our ideal customers.
The results were nothing short of spectacular:
⭐ Best-seller on Amazon, ranking top 5 organically for searches like “hot sauce,” “Mango Habanero,” and “sweet and spicy.”
⭐ A 15% sales increase on Amazon, 70% more followers on social media, and a 30% boost in engagement.
Looking Ahead:
With the success of our Mango Habanero Sauce, we’re excited to launch three more sauces this spring. Our commitment remains – small batch, authentically All-American, and always delicious.
