To all the working moms out there, I see you, I am you and I am awe so inspired by you!
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how awesome we are? We’re basically superheroes with the ability to juggle work and motherhood like it’s nobody’s business. And let’s not forget the other important skills we’ve picked up along the way, like negotiating with tiny humans who think they’re the boss, and the ability to find a solution to any problem with just a couple of pipe cleaners and some googly eyes.
As a mom, I’ve learned to get creative with my resources. Have you ever had to whip up a meal out of just a few random ingredients? Or answer emails while your child is hanging off your leg?
We’re basically the ultimate MacGyver. Give us a task, and we’ll find a way to make it happen. That’s some serious problem-solving skills right there!
So, let me tell you why hiring moms is a no-brainer. We are adaptable, collaborative, and analytical. We can manage budgets and mood swings. We are empathetic and patient. And let’s face it, we’re used to working under pressure (hello, 3 am feedings).
So to all the mommas out there, let’s give ourselves a round of applause for all the amazing things we do every day. I know how hard it is to balance work and motherhood, but don’t be afraid to take up space and be your true, authentic self. Your unique perspective and experiences are valuable, and they deserve to be heard. Let’s continue to support each other and break down barriers in the workplace.
